The Town of Duxbury (population 15,200) http://www.duxburypolice.org/chief.htm is seeking applicants for the position of Chief of Police. The department is comprised of 26 sworn and 8 non-sworn personnel.
The successful candidate must possess a proven record of leadership; executive management skills; have a thorough knowledge of police administration, experience implementing community policing programs and expertise in effective customer service.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field; master's degree preferred; fifteen years progressively responsible experience as a police officer with a minimum rank of lieutenant and seven years supervisory experience.
Salary: $80,000 - $105,000.
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee Certification. Duxbury is an equal opportunity employer.
